Ankle Injury Rehabilitation Robot (AIRR): Review of Strengths and Opportunities Based on a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) Analysis

Generally, severity, any additional damage to the joint surface, and optimal rehabilitation influence recovery of an ankle injury. Optimal is only approach for a human heal as soon possible. Ankle injury robots (AIRRs) are designed fulfil ideal by providing required accuracy, consistency, repeatability, compared conventional methods. This review explore performance existing AIRR using SWOT analysis with focus on strengths opportunities AIRR. Sources from journals conference papers selected after several screenings, according search conditions set authors. The results have shown large group AIRRs could accomplish all basic motions select parallel mechanisms drive foot platform. Most provides crucial feedback sensors, such position, torque, angle.
